Se live recording fra konferencen her

Today we took samples of the ground beneath the stables, boring a 3.5 m long hole and taking dirt samples every half a meter. These are now getting analyzed in a lab to determine whether we need to reinforce the foundation of the structure in any places.

Boliglaboratorium Workshop I

Today we had our first workshop with Boliglaboratorium, where we and the other 6 teams shared challenges we were facing and brainstormed how we could solve these together - bringing in politicians, banks, municipalities, and regulators into the process. Kim Lenschow was part of a panel discussion at Statenskunstfond where he and other representatives from the projects responded to questions posed by the moderator. It was an exciting day and it was easy to feel the energy in the room and the high expectations from all for what we will achieve together.

Design Workshop

Today we met with Kim and Jonas from Lenschow and Pihlmann, who presented the latest design concepts for the project, which we are very excited about. Kim had each of us talk through our day step by step, in detail, to better understand the flow of our daily collective experiences. When Hannibal described taking his daughter Lilly to our shared kitchen at 5:30 AM when she woke up, he asked, “and what were you wearing.”

Learning that Hannibal had his robe on and then later needed to change into his clothes led to a design decision to place closets in our common space, that we could stock with clothes we use on a daily basis, as well as farm clothes, which we use when working outside.

The challenge we discussed as a group was how to maintain the feeling of our common house being our primary home, and a place we spend most of the day, while still building attractive private spaces for us to spend time in when we need to be alone.

We Pitched!

Today we pitched to Realdania and Statens Kunstfond as a Boliglaboratorium finalist. We felt happy with the jury’s response to our pitch and got a ton of great feedback. One Jury member started his response with “if we are going to start a revolution …” which we found encouraging.

Visioning

Today we met as a collective and held a brainstorm about what type of environment we would like to create in our project. We talked through ideas for how we imagine living collectively at the farm, and what needs we have as individuals that can be met in our future home.
